Daily Digest
Hey guys, after much deliberation and thought, I guess it's best that we have a class blog since we don't really meet each other together as one whole class save for Civics Tutorials thanks to our dysphoric timetables. Anyway, the main purpose of this blog is to disseminate important notices regarding to class administration matters and perhaps important reminders so that we do not have to put things on hold till Civics Tutorial (as in the case for Funtasia!). As like any other blogs, here are some ground rules:1. No personal rantings, as this is a class blog and is meant to be a platform for us to inform each others of important announcements or reminders. However, if you wish to upload any cool photos of 06A01 or NJC or anything related to our class, feel free to do so!
2. Please use proper English, be it in terms of grammar or spelling. It's quite unsightly to read a blog which uses things like "woRxX" or "i lub a01" although we know your intent is good. It's good practice for GP and KI essays! (:
With that said, I guess I shall get the ball rolling. Perhaps future announcements by subject representatives or other individuals can follow the following format?

CLASS ANNOUNCEMENT:
- Administration:
1. Job allocations for Funtasia should be noted of by now - anyone still unsure, please approach me A.S.A.P. Marketing & Publicity and DecoComm, please meet the deadlines we set last week (especially Marketing & Publicity as to the goods pricing and DecoComm for the posters!). I will try to get the order list for cheesecakes out by this Friday, and get ready for it to be put in class letter trays by Monday. If we are going to have a PubStunt, the two aforementioned committees please propose something quick as we got to have the authorities to vet and approve it. Food Prep Comm people, please get ready - especially the ones doing the cheesecakes as Alicia will be teaching all of you how to do it by end of next week or so. Prepare for HomeEc dèjá vu!
2. We need to get a class photo real soon for the Aerius HAT. Please cooperate - someone coordinate? We will soon have to elect a class House Affiliate, who will be coordinating all House activities at class level according to Council sources.
3. NJC is surveying to find out who wishes to sign up for a school bus service. There are two options: (a) a bus will pick you up from several designated MRT stations around Singapore (such as Kembangan and Woodlands), and you will pay $1 per trip to school (i.e. $5 per week) while in option (b) the school bus will fetch you directly from your doorstep at a cost of $110 per month! PLEASE REPLY TO ME ASAP!
- Academics:
History:
1. SEA History VA is coming up. Please prepare!
Literature:
1. All H1 Literature students, please read up till Chapter 14 of Great Expectations and annotate the text by Mr Whitby's next tutorial!
2. There will be a essay test during the H2 Literature lecture at LT1 next week. It will be on one of the 20th Century literature texts (both drama and prose) that we have done since Term 1 (PAE) excluding "Occurance at Owl Creek Bridge" by Ambrose Bierce. Ms Champagne also pointed out that it is imperative that we understand the characteristics and stylistic features of 20th Century literature for this upcoming test, which is meant to prepare us for the Common Tests (CTs) coming up in late June when school reopens.
Project Work:
1. GPP deadline is due soon! Please stick to the schedule in your PW handbook.
German LEP:
1. Please complete the Leseverständnis on "Europa" and Besprecherung on the data tables concerning the European Union.
2. Complete EM Grammatik exercises and the Grammar WS.
